Lady Baller Debuts Kickstarter Campaign to Address Root Causes of Inequality for Females

November 18 20:42 2021

Las Vegas, NV – Nov 18, 2021 – Lady Baller, a lifestyle apparel brand for women, announced that it has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund its line of female-empowering clothing. Lady Baller is the first apparel brand of its kind, focused on empowering the next generation of female athletes as leaders, inside and outside of competition, and inspiring them to shatter glass ceilings.

“The purpose of Lady Baller is to empower the younger generation of girls. That is why I love the brand,” said Danielle Robinson, three-time WNBA All-Star.

Young women experience inequality in the sports arena and on the field. They’re often treated as an afterthought, pushed to the sidelines, and have less access to sports. The founder of Lady Baller knows that girls are born with as much desire, drive and will to play as their male counterparts.

Lady Baller recognizes that equal opportunity is one of the biggest issues in girl’s and women’s sports. It’s an ever-present reality for girls that want to exercise their inherent right to play. The company is dedicated to addressing the root causes of inequality that girls face. Many individuals received their first look at the company’s “She Got Game” T-shirt, as seen on ESPN, when it appeared during a live broadcast.

Lady Baller will be donating 5 percent of its annual net profits to established non-profit organizations that focus on a diverse and wide range of issues facing girls, and that have a wealth of experience in that space. They include the following organizations:

  • The Women’s Sports Foundation provides support through advocacy, programs, research, resources, and awards. The organization equips girls to navigate gender, economic and social barriers.
  • Girls Inc. inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, through direct service and advocacy. Girls Inc. focuses on the development of the whole girl. She learns to value herself, take risks, and discover and develop her inherent strengths.
  • Girls on the Run inspires girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running. It provides educational programs, teaches critical life skills, combats gender stereotypes, and societal pressures impacting girls.
  • WriteGirl is centered on empowerment and self-expression through writing. Amanda Gorman, who read her poem “The Hill We Climb” at President Biden’s inauguration, joined WriteGirl at the age of 14.
  • Girls Who Code is building the world’s largest pipeline of future female engineers by closing the gender gap in technology. Diversity, equity and inclusion are essential to its mission.

“I think brands like Lady Baller represent everything that’s good regarding empowerment of young women, and we love the fact that there is a brand that kids can relate to, and that they can wear,” said Robert “Cape” Capener, Above The Rim founder.

The Kickstarter campaign by Lady Baller will aid in addressing a myriad of inequalities that girls and young women encounter in the sports world. Contributors will have the satisfaction of knowing that they’re helping new generations of females take their rightful place on the field, and in the world at large.
